Two youths charged after alleged attempted theft

At around 6.45pm on Wednesday, May 20, police will allege that two girls approached a woman in the vicinity of a shopping centre and attempted to steal her personal property.

At 6.50pm on the same day, one of the girls from the previous incident allegedly approached another woman in the same vicinity, and also attempted to steal her personal property.

In both instances, the women were able to escape and report the matter to police, who immediately attended the scene to investigate.

As a result, two girls, aged 14 and 16-years-old were subsequently apprehended and were charged with property related offences.

They will both appear in the Brisbane Children’s Court on July 17.
