Man’s body found in Brisbane park

Detectives are investigating the death of a 48-year-old Norman Park man in Stones Corner this morning.

Police were called to Hanlon Park near Logan Road around 5.45am where a man was found lying in a drain by a group of joggers.

He was moved from the drain in an attempt to resuscitate him but was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A crime scene was established and a post mortem will be conducted to help determine the cause of death.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information or vision which could assist to contact police.

Earlier A man’s body has been discovered in a Brisbane park.

The body was discovered just before 6am on Thursday near a bikeway in a park at Stones Corner in the city’s south.

A crime scene has been declared and police are yet to determine the circumstances surrounding the death at Hanlon Park.
