Victoria records 41 more cases of COVID

Victoria has recorded 41 additional cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, the largest single-day increase in almost three months.

Of the total, 15 are cases of community transmission with no known source, eight are linked to new outbreaks, 13 derive from routine testing (and could be attributed to a known outbreak after investigation, eight are from hotel quarantine and 19 are under investigation.

Emergency alerts will be sent from today to people in Keilor Downs and Broadmeadows to inform them of testing in their areas.

There are now 260 cases of community transmission.
