From Monday 31 August 2020, the Gateway Motorway Flyover northbound will be temporarily closed during certain time periods as part of ongoing strengthening works.
The flyover will be closed to all vehicles between Monday 31 August and Saturday 5 September 2020 from 10pm to 3am.
In addition, the flyover will be closed to heavy vehicles only between Sunday 6 September and Friday 11 September 2020 from 8pm to 5am.
Motorists will be directed off the Gateway Motorway M1 at Exit 123 onto Bracken Ridge Road and then Hoyland Street for approximately 3 kilometres, where they will then be able to proceed onto the Gympie Arterial Road and resume their trip northbound to the Bruce Highway M1. See detour map below.
Loads over 4.5m wide and/or 35m long cannot use the detour. Travel may only be permitted through the work site outside of the detour times. Please apply for an oversize permit through the NHVR by visiting https://www.nhvr.gov.au/.
Access conditions for heavy vehicles that took effect from 1 September 2019 remain in place. Find out more about these conditions on the Gateway Flyover project webpage.
TMR appreciates your patience while these important works are carried out.
