Dayboro is not connected to the SEQ Water Grid and relies on its own water supply from bores in the North Pine River.
The river stopped running in early October 2020 due to lack of rainfall. The bores are still replenishing and if they continue to drop, Seqwater will begin carting water to its Dayboro Water Treatment Plant.
Unitywater and Seqwater are asking the community to be mindful of their water use to help manage the current situation.
There are currently no formal restrictions in place, however Unitywater are asking everyone to save water and reduce their water consumption to avoid restrictions in the future.
Will Dayboro run out of water? No. Unitywater and Seqwater are working together to ensure a continuous and reliable water supply for the community but we need your help to save water and avoid restrictions.
